A&A got hitched.

My best friend, Annie, of 24 years (she was there the day I was born) has finally become a Mrs.! Sadly, I wasn't able to be there and take the position of maid-of-honour, but from the photos I have seen, it looked like a real fairytale-meets-country wedding. Only the best for my bestie :)

I am borrowing (Stealing. I am stealing it) this photo from Annie's aunt because I am just blown away for two reasons: 1. They are just too cute, and 2. He MADE that chandelier!
Isn't it extraordinary?!

Because of you.

Today marks 5 years with this handsome fella!

Our love story started back in June of 2010 in a magical place called Dooly's (It was a bar. Not as magical as Disney World but close enough!). It wasn't the fanciest of venues or the most romantic start of a 'love-story' but it is and will always be our story and every day I thank God for blessing me with the most incredible human being that I am able to call my husband, my partner, my love.

Because of you
I can
feel myself
slowly
but
surely
becoming the me
I
have always
dreamed
of
being.

One Hundred.

This is my one hundredth post!

I am so thankful for all of you who have stopped continuously come back, are just stopping by or accidentally ended up here.

I may not be famous but it has been so nice to have a place of my own here on the interweb. A place where I can look back and see how much I have grown, all of the memories I have made, and just a place to be myself.

Thank you, friends. You rock!

A&D.

This past week, I had the wonderful opportunity to take photos for my friend, Anna!

We waited until later in the evening to go out since this day was a scorcher! (40 degrees celcius!)

It was still in the 30s when we got started (around 7pm..) but it was worth the heat to have this opportunity. This is my first ever shoot and I was pretty nervous since I don't have much experience and my equipment could be better, but I loved every minute of it!

Anna and Dustin were so much fun to shoot and with every photo I took of them, I could really feel the love through the lens. They took me off-roading to some of the hidden treasures of Western Manitoba. One of those spots being a wildlife reserve where two rivers (Assiniboine and Souris) come together and this is actually where they had their first kiss! Pretty symbolic and romantic, huh?

I loved shooting Anna because she is the definition of a 'country girl'. She lives and breathes this Prairie air and she shared some pretty lovely and touching stories with me. She also let me meet her two horses who were just a delight to be around!

T'was an awesome time and I hope to get many more chances to go out and capture the stories of many others out there :)

That Boundless Expanse.

Doesn't it seem to you
That the mind moves more freely
in the presence of that boundless expanse;

That the sight of the ocean
Elevates the soul and gives rise to
thoughts of the infinite and the ideal.

Port au Port: Boutte du Cap.

Finally, the last Port au Port post. Boutte du Cap.

Breathtaking views of the ocean, cliffs, and birds a plenty (tons of PUFFINS!)!

It was such a calming place. The fog rolled in which disrupted our view but something about it just made the whole experience that much better. I could see losing myself in my thoughts here.

Truly an incredible spot and an incredible day. Many trips back are definitely going to happen.

Until next time.

Port au Port: Hidden Falls.

Port au Port has so many incredible spots to visit!
These posts will never end (yes they will but not just yet)!

The next spot on our Port au Port journey was to Hidden Falls. Quite an impressive view, not only of the waterfall but of the ocean! Everything around this spot so picturesque.

I didn't go under the falls but if you are willing to have a refreshing mid-day shower then venture on under!

My incredible in-laws looking all cute!

Port au Port: Alpaca Farm.

I am like a kid in a candy store when it comes to seeing animals. I spot a cat crossing the road and I immediately want to catch it and squeeze them (it's a bit of a problem..). So, naturally, when we spotted the alpaca farm along the Port au Port drive, we pulled right in and I leaped from the truck as soon as it stopped!

It is amazing the little things that you can find in this incredible province! It never gets old.

Many more adventures to be shared!

Until next time, friends :)

Port Au Port: The Gravels.

Newfoundland is THE province to visit.

It's beauty is beyond words and it's people are the finest!

Our vacation with Mark's family has been non-stop fun!

From a little hike in the city of Corner Brook, to a drive up the Northern Peninsula, to a steep hike up the Coppermine trail, it has been quite the adventure. The most memorable (thus far) has to be the day we spent sightseeing along the Port au Port Peninsula. I had never been before and I know I will be back.

Our first stop was at The Gravels hiking trail. It had some incredible sights with some pretty beautiful rock formations (if you are into that kind of stuff!).

If you ever get the chance to go and see this spot, don't pass it up!

Our love is so strong that we make unintentional hearts <3
