Have hope. Have faith. Have trust.

Some days I am lost, or I feel left behind. I have no idea where my path in life is going. Did I take a wrong turn somewhere along the way? Will I ever know if I am going in the right direction?

When I was browsing through my Bible, I noticed that I had highlighted a verse in green (I normally use pink). I obviously thought that I needed this verse to stand out among the rest. And I was right - Thank you, Charlotte of the past!! It is Jeremiah 29:11.

"For I know the plans I have for you,"
declares the Lord,
"Plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future."

It is the perfect verse for those who are lost, who are anxious, and who feeling unsure of their decisions. The Lord has you. He has got your back. He has a plan. If you fall, He will catch you.

I forget this all too often and when I do, I make life harder for myself. I bring stress, sadness, and anger into my day that does not belong there. I have so much to be happy and grateful for! This verse is my daily reminder that I am never alone and that I am going the right way :)

Have hope. Have faith. Have trust.

Happy Sunday, loves!

I am grateful.

Yoga is awesome. Some might even say radical, if that word is still being used.
I have been on a 2 year yoga journey and about a year ago, I found my "yoga soulmate" - is that a thing? Well, it is now.

Yoga with Adriene has changed my life! My mind is at ease, my body works as one, and my heart is grateful. It is incredible what one person who shows up on my little 11" inch laptop can do to my life.

Yesterday's mantra during 30 Days of Yoga Camp was "I am grateful" and while laying in savasana, my mind raced with things and beings that I am grateful for.
So here is a mini list of what I am most grateful for:

1. My husband, Mark.

2. The man upstairs, God.

3. My family and friends.

4. Mornings.

5. My yoga journey.

6. The Find What Feels Good Community :)

The list can go on for ages but I want to know something that you are grateful for!

Happy Friday, friends :)

Sunday's Experiment: Banana Nut Muffins.

If I had to choose one thing to eat for the rest of my life, it might just have to be banana nut muffins. I cannot get enough of these delicious treats!
They are sweet, soft with a bit of crunch and, most importantly, easy to make!
This is a no-fail recipe, I guarantee it!
If I can make them, you definitely can!

Let me know if you give it a try!
If you are allergic to nuts, just leave them out. They taste just as amazing without :)

Please share any yummy recipes with me because I am always eager to try new things!

Happy Sunday, folks!

Go Somewhere.

It has been so cold in Manitoba these past few days. So cold that "extreme cold warnings" have been in effect.. Today was the first "warm" day at -11. It almost felt like spring?!?
These photos are from before the freeze hit us.
We ventured up to Brandon Hills where there are in fact, hills, and trees and it makes you feel like you are back East (well, I do anyway) where there are actual things blocking your view.
It's quite beautiful, really.
It reminded Mark and I that we really need to venture out more and see the places of the West before we leave.
So, if you feel like you need something to do, get in your car, or your friend's car, or your parent's car, or on a bus or train,
and just go somewhere!

If you could go anywhere right now, where would you go?

Sunday's Experiment: Egg Muffins.

I am a breakfast food enthusiast. I LOVE it! So when I found this recipe where veggies are involved, I went straight to the grocery store and hit the aisles.
These are egg muffins . If you do not like eggs, this may not be the best recipe for you, but you should give it a try anyway! They are so easy to make and are such a nice quick meal for in the morning and you are getting some veggies in you, as well!
I only used corn and shredded some carrots but you can add whatever you like. It's essentially an omelette in muffin form - so it's cooler.

Let me know if you give this a try or share with me what your favourite breakfast food/ meal is.
I would love to know!

Take care :)

Sunday's Experiment.

I have unofficially declared Sunday's as my "experiment with food day"!
In keeping with 99.9% of the world's goal to eat healthy and my lack of cooking skills, I decided to make roasted sweet potato rounds. Super easy, super delicious and my stomach is full with happiness!

What is your favourite go to healthy meal or even your favourite unhealthy meal?
I would love to hear some more food/meal suggestions from you all!

Those who wander.

"All that is gold
does not glitter,
not all those who
wander are lost:
the old that is
strong does not
wither, deep roots
are not reached
by the frost."

Starting "fresh".

Two of my goals this year is to 1) Be more frugal, and 2) Create.
The first is pretty self-explanatory - I want to be more conscious of my spending.
The second goal is more open for interpretation. For this particular post, it means to "create opportunities". Mark and I decided that this year, we are creating ways to be more frugal.
Our first attempt at this goal was to grow our own food! We are lovers of nachos and you cannot have nachos without green onions (well, you can but they are not as good!). So, we found out that you can grow them easy just by keeping the stems and placing them in a cup of water (I feel like most people probably knew this - we are late to the game).
Our next attempt is going to be romaine lettuce!
(Sorry if this bores you - I am pretty excited about it and needed to share!)

Do you have any tips for growing your own food indoors?

Please share if you do!

Take care, friends.

I embrace.

Kickstarting the 2016 year, I decided to join a yoga camp.
This camp is in the comfort of my own home and it is absolutely free! (Yay!)
With this camp comes a calendar and each day there is a mantra. Today is day three of the camp and our mantra is "I embrace".
Something I did a little differently this year with the whole resolution/goal thing is I set an intention or a mantra for the year. This mantra was "embrace".

I embrace change.
This is going to be a big one for me. With turning 25 in April (wee!), planning our move back to Newfoundland and what our next step in life is going to be, and (hopefully) a positive journey to becoming a yoga instructor, I embrace the change and the challenges to come. I embrace the beautiful and the ugly. I embrace the successes and the failures. I embrace myself and my weirdness.
I embrace 2016.
