Rooted.

Unlike a lot of Christians, I was not brought up with the Lord on a daily or even weekly basis.
I had never read the Bible, church was a once in a blue-moon thing, and the topic of Christ was never a suppertime conversation.
It is not that my parents do not believe, but I think it may be due to the fact that they themselves were never rooted in the love of Christ.
So how could they pass on a love that did not exist for them?
But, here I am, a twenty-five year old woman who planted her own roots in love for the Lord!
This is not me trying to push my religion or faith on to you.
This is me telling you that it is never too late to plant your roots into something that you love!

What is something that you want to plant your roots in?

"I pray
that you,
being rooted and established
in love
may have power together with
all the Lord's people to grasp
how wide and how long
and how deep
is the love of Christ.."

Surrender.

Minnedosa Beach, Manitoba, Canada.
"Surrendering is the free-falling backwards into the unknown and trusting that The Universe will catch you. And this can't be done from a place of lack or a place of mistrust - OK, I'm releasing, you better come through beotch! - you have to give it all you've got and totally let it go for reals, you must fall back, have faith, be grateful, and wait. And while you're at it ...
Love yourself.
And the Motherlode shall bestow her magic upon you."

I am complete.

Yoga has changed my life.
It has seen me through some pretty stressful times but it has helped to create better and brighter times.
When I get on my mat, I feel like a warrior, like my body is capable of whatever I ask it to do. Now, that is not actually the case but my mind wouldn't know any better.
All it sees and thinks is perfection
When I am practicing yoga, I feel perfect.
I feel like this is exactly the way that I am supposed to be.
I have aimed for so long to find who I am, what my purpose is, and I think that yoga has helped me accomplish just that!
I am complete.

I hope that your day is filled with laughter, love, and positive vibes!
Happy International Yoga Day!!

I am just starting to learn forearm stand, so please mind my horrible form!

When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means it's going to launch you into something great. So just focus, and keep aiming."

I choose to be magic.

I choose to be a child of God.
I choose to love one man entirely.
I choose to see the world.
I choose to make people laugh.
I choose to be around good and grounding energy.
I choose to inspire.
I choose to smile.
I choose to be magic.
I choose to be me.

As I was writing this out, I looked at it and saw something wrong.
I originally wrote "I want" to all of these points. But "to want" and "to choose" are very different things. I am choosing to be happy, to love, to hold hands with God.
To choose is to be great.
To choose is to live extraordinarily.
To choose is to achieve !

What do you choose?

Your authenticity is mesmerizing.
Your vulnerability is captivating.
Your flaws are enchanting.
Your light is breathtaking.
Your love is spellbinding.
You are magic.

Love is love is love.

This week has been full of tragic news.
Many beautiful lives taken too soon.
It almost seems unfair to smile, to laugh, or to be happy because for so many people, those little things have been ripped from them.
But, these tragedies are a reminder to us all.
A reminder that this life is short; it can be over at any moment.
It is a reminder to always love and never hate.
A reminder to enjoy each and every moment we have with the one's we love.
A reminder to always say "I love you" every chance you get.
It is a reminder to forgive.
We must keep on living for the one's who cannot.
We must fight hate with love.
Love is love is love.

I want to send out my sympathies and all of my love to everyone affected by all of the horrible news that has come out of Orlando, and to those all over the globe who are going through loss and tough times.

Let's spread love wherever we go and make our world a bright and joyous one!

Public Gardens, NS.

I have driven up and down Spring Garden Road many times in my life and not once have I known that Public Gardens was right there..!
So, for my last day in Nova Scotia, most of the family and I hit up this magical gem that can be found right the middle of Halifax.
We truly got the all Nova Scotian experience on our visit with the thick fog adding a mystical effect by erasing the tall buildings in the background. It felt like we were in a fairytale!
During my next trip home, I know where I will be going second (family first)!

If you get the chance to stop by this incredible spot, take it!

"And above all
watch with glittering
eyes the whole
world around you
because the greatest
secrets are always
hidden in the most
unlikely places.
Those who don't
believe in magic
will never find it."

Megan + Bryan | Halls Harbour, NS.

Halls Harbour, NS.
It may be the most beautiful spot in the Annapolis Valley and the perfect spot for Megan and Bryan's engagement shoot!
When Megan messaged me a few months back to shoot her wedding next year, I was elated!
Seeing that she had not had any engagement photos done, we thought it only necessary to get some done! So, during my time in the East, I got to head over to one of my favourite spots in Nova Scotia/ the Valley and capture some pretty sweet moments between these lovebirds. :)
I could not have asked for a better couple to shoot my first engagement with!
Here are just a few shots from the gorgeous day that we were given.

in the history

This Girl C.

Things, they are a changin'.

Not only with this blog - if you haven't noticed, the name is different! - but with me.
And I am welcoming this change with open arms!
I believe that hitting the quarter of a century mark has truly ignited something down-right radical in me.

My heart, my brain and my soul are all aligned and I am finally ready - better late than never! - to conquer this life that I have been blessed with!
I feel bold!
I feel focused!
I feel balanced.
I am ready to love myself entirely, live my life with purpose, and begin my quest with God to discover who "This Girl C" really is!

So, over the next few months, you may say a lot of changes on this blog and with me!

Please, bare with me :)

Meet me at the Forks.

Winnipeg. A city of sunshine, beautiful architecture, and crazy drivers.
When you venture deep into the city, it is quite stunning.
Mark and I hit up the Forks Market for the first time due to my incessant talk of the place and forcing him to look at every photo on Instagram!
The Forks is one of the most beautiful places in this province (that I have seen). It is like you have left the city and gone to a little town full of cobbled streets and lush greenery.
And the market itself? Awesome!
I could have spent all done and all of my money if I had the option to - and actually had money to spend. The little "shops" are so unique, full of items which you cannot find anywhere else! There are many displays of locally made items that are just too rad for words.

The cherry on top of our whole experience here is the style of the market!
The moment you walk in you are welcomed with busker performances, a sky-lit room with the most incredible seating area I have ever laid my eyes on.
The lighting fixtures are superb and the smells from the multitude of eating establishments... my mouth is watering just thinking about it!
We opted for a simple but incredibly tasty crêpe from the Caramel Crepe and our taste buds were more than satisfied.

We have lived in this province for over two years and I am still baffled by the fact that this was our first time visiting this magical place. Our plans of moving this summer makes my heart ache knowing that this enchanting spot will no longer be a two hour drive..
But until the move, I will be making that drive as often as I can bear (once I return back to the province)!

If you have not been to the Forks, you need to add it to your bucket list!
